Winter is back at Willamette Pass
Sleepy Hollow and the magic carpet started spinning at 9 AM this morning, officially kicking off the 2025/26 ski season. Huge thanks to everyone who showed up for opening turns and to our mountain crew who made day one possible.
Our mission is to give everyone the Freedom to Ski and opening day is the first step toward another season of unforgettable days on the mountain.
What to Expect Opening Weekend
Our beginner area is now open daily through January 4th, and our team is continuing to work toward opening additional terrain as soon as conditions allow.
Here’s how opening weekend is shaping up:
- The bunny hill will be open with Sleepy Hollow and the magic carpet spinning
- Early season conditions may exist
- Additional terrain is not expected to open right away and will roll out as soon as conditions allow
- Open daily from December 26th through January 4th
- Rentals and limited lessons available
- Overnight parking available
Opening weekend is about first turns, reconnecting with familiar faces, hearing your skis and boards hit snow, and settling back into the rhythm of winter. You will see snowmaking, grooming, and mountain operations crews on the hill. Please give them space as they work to get more of the mountain open.

Base Area Stoke Is Just Getting Started
Winter energy doesn’t stop on the hill. We have a lineup of base area happenings to keep the excitement rolling!
Here’s what’s happening:
- Pray For Snow Bonfire with the lodge open until 6 PM for food and drinks on December 27th
- Make a difference with a canned food and warm coat drive on December 28th
