The Willamette Pass Community Vision
This summer, we have been working on our Master Development Plan with the Forest Service, which will guide our vision at Willamette Pass for the next 40 years! Thank you for attending our public meetings and for your continued support through this process. In case you missed it, here are our key focal points that were discussed.
Summer Operations
Our public outreach efforts revealed a clear enthusiasm for a variety of summer activities, showcasing the community’s desire for adventure and recreation. Popular mentions included mountain biking and overnight parking for those looking to stay under the Oregon stars.
Winter Operations
During our discussion on winter operations, we got valuable insight from our guests. It was clear that night skiing generated considerable interest, with many expressing enthusiasm. Furthermore, there was a strong desire to win the PNW nacho war.
Our Mission
We hear our community’s requests loud and clear! While we may not be ready to implement all of these operational updates this year, we are committed to exploring these opportunities and moving in this direction for the future, ensuring that we cater to the interests and passions of our community.
Improving The Skier Experience
In addition to our routine maintenance and the Master Development Plan, we have made it a priority to enhance your skiing experience this summer! We are actively maintaining our trails and upgrading our snowmaking capabilities to ensure an earlier opening and extended season.
The improvements to the base area were seen as well. We are excited to announce that we have installed a railing on our Northeast Deck! This space will be open when weather and snow load allows. Enjoy your lunch on one of our picnic tables or lounge in an Adirondack chair!
Overnight parking has made its return! This feature was in high demand within our community, and we’ve also upgraded our outlets to better serve your cooking needs.
The Gift That Keeps on Giving
Last summer, the Willamette Pass team undertook significant reinvestments in our infrastructure to enhance the overall experience for our guests. We recommissioned the Midway Lift, ensuring it operates at peak efficiency, allowing visitors to access our slopes with ease. Additionally, we extended electricity to Peak 2, which will support future developments and improve services in that area.
Our commitment to quality also led us to enhance our grooming and snowmaking capabilities, ensuring that our trails remain in top condition throughout the season. With these comprehensive improvements, we aim to provide lasting enjoyment and unforgettable experiences for our guests for many years to come, reinforcing our dedication to excellence in the skiing industry.
